Caterhaugh is a short film by an ex-Pitlochry HS pupil and has been described as a ‘dark, modern fairy tale’. The film is being made/produced by a team of Scottish practitioners and is being filmed in Pitlochry the first week of March. Come to the Town Hall 16 February 2026 at 7.30pm to hear more.

Caterhaugh is a short film by Schillaci Malmond who grew up in Pitlochry and has been described as a ‘dark, modern fairy tale’. The film is being made and produced by a team of Scottish practitioners and is being filmed entirely in Pitlochry during the first week of March.

Alan Cumming is the executive producer of Caterhaugh and the team behind the film are working in partnership with a number of organisations and local businesses, including Pitlochry Festival Theatre and PCAT.

They are very keen to engage further with the local community, and in particular young people, and as part of that there is an information event in Pitlochry Town Hall at 7.30pm on Monday, February 16.

This event is open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about the film and how the film-makers would like to work with our community in the run-up to, during and after filming.

We would love to see as many people as possible on Monday night so please feel free to join us and meet the Caterhaugh team.

Best wishes,
Everyone at Pitlochry Community Action Trust
