Nurseries and Early Learning Admission

The catchment area for Pitlochry School Nursery is the town of Pitlochry, villages of Killiecrankie, Logierait, Straloch and the surrounding rural area.

Full details of the process to be followed is included in the Policy and Guidelines for Admission to Nursery Schools which is available from the school when registering children in January/February of each year.

Free early learning and childcare for 2 year olds (Strong Starts)

There are now places for eligible 2 year olds whose parents meet certain benefits criteria in a number of local authority nurseries.

1140 hours Extra funded early years hours from August 2020

All 3 and 4 year olds, and some eligible 2 year olds will be entitled to 1140 hours of funded childcare.

Free early learning and childcare for 3-5 year olds

You are entitled to apply to any local authority managed nursery and/or partner provider centre for your 3-5 year old child's funded early learning and childcare place.
